This month last year

This month last year Paton was just taking his first steps. I have several videos of those steps, but it seems to be rather difficult to load them onto my blog. Anyway, I do have pictures, and one of my favorite things to do is to look at pictures from years past on the same month. But now I've changed my mind...I'm going to include last year and the year before.

Below is Paton's one month birthday. Since we celebrated his one week birthday with a slice of pie and a candle, we decided to do something similar on his one month birthday. My mother in law was there for his one week, and my mom was there for his one month.

One year later, Paton was learning to walk. We were still living in Missouri at the time, and my mother in law was visiting us. In the picture below, Paton was getting ready to swim with his friend Teagan.

And then another year later, we're in Utah, and my buddy is running, walking, climbing, falling, and much more! He loves going to the park and playing on the play set, swinging, and playing in the sand. I'm looking forward to what next year brings!

Farmer's Market

Farmer's Markets are up and running, and I love to visit the booths of handmade goods! This past weekend, we went to Logan to meet up with some friends of ours. We picnicked at the park for dinner and then went to the local Logan Summerfest--an arts and entertainment festival. Paton now has a new friend-Kelsie. She's about 4 months younger than him, but they had a blast together at the park! She brought her pink ball with her, and for Paton, it was love at first sight!

I could probably push Paton on the swing for hours and he wouldn't tire of it. He loves to swing!

I had to take a picture of Paton in his church clothes this morning. The tie and suspenders are courtesy of Nana Baker. He got quite the reaction at church!

Trampolines, VBS, and Peacocks

Nana Baker gave Paton what we call a "bouncy-bouncy." He loves this thing! Even more entertaining is when he puts one or several balls on the trampoline with him. He gets such a kick out of the balls bouncing up and hitting his legs. Love this instrument of exercise!

My lesson last night in VBS was on Christ's birth so I wore this hat in my intro. Paton really enjoyed wearing it before hand.

Our VBS theme is Gold Rush--Greg plays the part of a miner pretty well!

During games, Paton just runs around and screams. Hey, if it works and he's having a great time, then I'm loving it too.

Upon returning home after VBS, this peacock was waiting for us in our front yard! My neighbor a few houses down owns it, and it's really neat to the hear the peacock cry--makes me feel like we're in the zoo.

It was a dark and stormy morning...

We woke this morning to a marvelous storm. It's fascinating watching the weather from our sunroom. The colors are so vibrant!

We have been preparing the church for our annual VBS program. The girls are wonderful helpers with Paton, and he's beginning to see the wonder of an ipod.

When it comes to crackers/cookies, Paton is very obedient. He sat in this very spot the entire time he ate his snack.

You saw the valley when it's storming...this picture was taken just a few minutes ago. The storms can disappear just as quickly as they appear.

New Hampshire

I just got home yesterday after 10 days in New Hampshire. My grandparents celebrated their 60th anniversary back in March, but the entire extended family wanted to surprise them with a family reunion coupled with their anniversary. So this past weekend, we all gathered and successfully surprised them. It was wonderful to see relatives that I hadn't seen in 10 years! There are more pics, but since I've already loaded them on Facebook, feel free to hop over there!
